Erucamide(high purity) is waxy odorless solids, containing a long carbon chain and the polarity of the amide group in the molecular structure, giving it particularly excellent surface activity and good heat stability, and suitable for higher processing temperatures, as well as more durable smoothness and better anti-sticking effect. The product is insoluble in water, soluble in solvents such as ethanol and xylene. The flash point is around 230ºC. This product has passed SGS environmental protection test, in line with the EU RoHS environmental directive, can be allowed for food containers and food packaging materials (GB9685-2008).

Usage

It can be used in flexo and gravure inks and paper coatings to provide good anti-adhesion properties and improve smoothness.

Used in food, clothing and other polyethylene, polypropylene film packaging bags as opening agent, various plastic products lubricant, mold release agent and PP production stabilizer.

Used in the synthesis of photosensitive materials.

Used as an excellent lubricant for polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene extrusion film.

Used as a dispersant for metal protective films, pigments and dyes, additives for printing inks, fiber oils, film release agents, rubber compounds, etc. Because it is non-toxic, it is allowed to be used in food packaging materials.

Application
 

1.One of its important usages is to be antisticking, lubricant, release agent and antistatic agent of polyethylene(PE) and polypropylene(PP). And also, it can be used for CPP, BOPP, LDPE, LLDPE, EVA, PVC, PVDF, PVDC, PU film.

2. Erucamide has a good stability at high temperature. It shows a specially wonderful property at higher temperature comparing with amides.

3.  Erucamide can be used as a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE, TEO, TPU) and rubber demoulding agent, surface smooth and bright agent, lubricant of engineering plastics.

4.Erucamide, as an important derivative of erucic acid, is an excellent fine chemical product with a wide range of applications. Because it has a high melting point and good thermal stability (stable at 273°C), it is mainly used as an anti-sticking agent and slip agent for various plastics and resins, and an excellent lubricant and antistatic agent for extruded films.
