Rubidium carbonate, Rb2CO3, is a readily available rubidium compound; Chemically stable, particularly unreactive, and very soluble in water, rubidium is often present in this form.
 

Rubidium carbonate appearance is colorless crystal, often powder, has a strong hygroscopic hydrolysis. The melting point is 837ºC, and the decomposition begins when the temperature reaches 750ºC. Soluble in water. It is the basic raw material of other rubidium salts, the raw material of making single crystals containing rubidium, which is used as catalyst in special glass, ceramic industry, chemical industry, as well as miniature high-energy batteries and crystal scintillators.
