Appearance and properties: colorless to light yellow slightly viscous transparent liquid. It has a strong peach aroma. Boiling point 297ºC; Flash point 137ºC. Soluble in ethanol (1ml soluble in 5mL 60% ethanol), benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, lye, most non-volatile oils and mineral oils, little soluble in glycerol and water. Application
