Appearance and Properties:Colorless to pale yellow slightly viscous transparent liquid. It has a strong peach-like aroma. The boiling point is 297 °C, and the flash point is 137 °C. Soluble in ethanol (1ml dissolved in 5mL of 60% ethanol), benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, lye, most non-volatile oils and mineral oils, almost insoluble in glycerol and water.
