Its anhydrous form (NaBr) has a melting point of 747°C and a boiling point of 1390°C. Silver bromide photosensitive agent can be prepared. It can be used medically as a sedative, hypnotic, or anticonvulsant.When swallowed or inhaled, the compound can cause damage to the central nervous system, brain, and eyes, as well as irritation to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract.
