Product Description

Sodium Acetate is used in the textile industry to neutralize sulfuric acid waste streams, and as a photoresist while using dyes. Sodium Acetate may be added to foods as a seasoning.

Sodium acetate  trihydrate is colorless and odorless crystals, weathered in the air, flammable.Soluble in water and ether, slightly soluble in ethanol.Mainly applied to organic synthesis of esterification agent, dyeing mordant, buffer, chemical reagent.

It is used as esterification agent for organic synthesis, photographic medicine, printing and dyeing mordant, buffer, chemical reagent, meat anticorrosion, pigment, tanning leather and many other aspects. It can be used to produce various chemical products, such as acetate and chloroacetic acid. As a buffer for seasonings, the product can alleviate undesirable odor and prevent discoloration, and has a certain anti-mildew effect. Can also be used as seasoning sauce, sauerkraut, mayonnaise, fish cake, sausage, bread, sticky cake and other sour agent. Mixed with methyl cellulose, phosphate, etc., for the preservation of sausage, bread, sticky cake, etc.

• This ingredient can be found in salad dressing, sauce, dumpling, sausage, steamed fish paste, bread and rice cake.
• There are general three purposes of sodium acetate in food:
• PH regulator or a buffer: maintain a specific pH content in food when used together with acetic acid and sometimes in the form of sodium diacetate, which is a molar ratio of 1:1 sodium acetate and acetic acid.
• Preservative: prevent microorganism cultivation.
• Taste improver: the combination of acetic acid to make the sour (vinegar) taste of acetic acid mild.
• Medical use
• It can be used as an electrolyte replenisher to prevent low levels of sodium in blood.
• Meanwhile, sodium acetate trihydrate can be used in reusable heating pads and hand warmers as it contains three waters of crystallization, which will be released from the crystal if heated to its melting temperature - 58°C.
