Application

 

1. An important chlorinating agent that can chlorinate aromatic aldehydes without affecting the aromatic ring. The chlorination of anilin e, N-alkylanilin e (ortho-dominant), a-aminopyridine chlorination, A-phenylthiamide dehydrogenation and degradation chlorination, as well as cyclopentadien e monochlorination have higher yields than chlorin e, tert-butyl hypochlorite, chloramine T, etc. As an oxidizing agent, diols can be oxidized to lactones, primary (secondary) alcohols to aldehydes (ketones), and B-hydroxyketones to B-diketones. Peptide bonds formed by tryptophan can be selectively broken under acidic conditions. It can also be used for the synthesis of allylamin e, B, R-unsaturated amino acids and derivatives.
2. Pharmaceutical intermediates. Commonly used in the synthesis of antimicrobials, such as benzyl cephalosporins, can also be used in the preparation of rubber auxiliaries.
3. N-chloro-succinimide (NCS) is a convenient electrophilic addition and electrophilic substitution reagent, often used in the chlorination of sulfides, sulfones and ketones, and can also be used to synthesize N-chlorinated amines.
