Glyphosate ( IUPAC name : N -(phosphonomethyl)glycine ) is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide and crop desiccant . It is an organophosphorus compound , specifically a phosphonate , which acts by inhibiting the plant enzyme 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase . It is used to kill weeds , especially annual broadleaf weeds and grasses that compete with crops.


Application

1.A non-selective, short residual post-emergence herbicide for the control of deep-rooted perennial weeds, annual and biennial grasses, sedge and broadleaf weeds.

2.It is mainly used for weed control in orchards, tea gardens, mulberry gardens and other cash crop gardens and is used for weed control in orchards, tea gardens, mulberry gardens and no-till land Chemicalbook, roadside weeds.
