Usage

Used in the leather industry, the main uses are as follows:

3. Its aqueous solution is alkaline.

4. When heated, sodium formate breaks down into hydrogen and sodium oxalate, which then forms sodium carbonate.

5. Sodium formate is mainly used in the production of insurance powder, oxalic acid. In the leather industry, it is used as a camouflage acid in the chromium tannery process, as a catalyst and stabilizing synthetic agent, and as a reducing agent in the printing and dyeing industry.
