Bisphenol AF (BPAF) is a fluorinated organic compound related to bisphenol A in which the two methyl groups are replaced with trifluoromethyl groups.

Whereas BPA binds with human estrogen-related receptor gamma (ERR-γ), BPAF all but ignores ERR-γ. Instead, BPAF activates ERR-α and binds to and disables ERR-β.

Used as gas separation membrane, proton exchange membrane, dielectric coating, optical fiber sheath, photocell substrate, binder, etc., widely used in microelectronics, fuel cell, optics, space technology and other fields.

Bisphenol AF is mainly used as a vulcanizing agent (crosslinking agent) for fluororubber, with over 70% of fluororubber using the bisphenol AF vulcanization system. Bisphenol AF can be used as monomer to synthesize fluorine-containing polyamyl (methylene) amine, fluorine-containing polyester, fluorine-containing polyarylether, fluorine-containing polyether ketone, fluorine-containing polycarbonate, fluorine-containing epoxy resin, fluorine-containing polyurethane and other fluorine-containing polymers. It can be used as gas separation membrane, proton exchange membrane, dielectric coating, optical fiber sheath, phototube substrate, binder, etc., and is widely used in microelectronics, fuel cell, optics, space technology and other fields.
