Chemical properties:
acicular crystal. The melting point is 95-97ºC, the boiling point is 296ºC, 153ºC (0.67kPa), the relative density is 1.099 (109ºC), and the refractive index is 1.5348. Soluble in ethanol, ether,  and benzene, slightly soluble in water, insoluble in petroleum.
Production method:
It is prepared by the reaction of m-aminophenone with. Add water and concentrated sulfuric acid into the reaction pot, stir to add m-aminoacetophenone, and then drop solution under cooling, keep the temperature of Chemicalbook at 8-10ºC, and slowly heat up to more than 90ºC, continue stirring reaction for 1h. The solid precipitated by cooling is filtered, and the crude product obtained is recrystallized with hot water to obtain m-hydroxyacetophenone. The yield is 65%.
