Methylcellulose is a cellulose methyl ethe. White or light yellow or light gray small particles, filamentous or powder. Odorless and tasteless, with approximately 27% to 32% of hydroxyl groups present in the form of methoxy groups. Methyl cellulose is widely used in the construction industry, such as as an adhesive for cement, mortar, joint desliming, etc. It is used as film agent and adhesive in cosmetics, medicine and food industry.
