Anthraquinone (chemical formula: C14H8O2), also transscribed as Anthracionone, is aquinone chemical. Compounds of anthraquinone occur naturally and can also be synthesized artificially. In industry, many dyes are based on anthraquinone. Many medicinal plants, such as aloe vera, contain anthraquinone compounds. For example, the anthraquinone complex in the gel of aloe vera has anti-inflammatory, swelling, pain relief, itching and bacterial growth inhibition effect, and can be used as a natural wound treatment medicine.

Function:

1.Anthraquinone has the function of antioxidation,delaying aging, preventing osteoporosis, acne(whelk) and dementia in the elderly.

2.Anthraquinone has function of anti tumor activity and antibacterial activity also have immunosuppression, cathartic and
anti-inflammatory effection.

3.Anthraquinone has function of lowering cholesterin and the blood viscosity, reducing the risk of arteriosclerosis,
cardio-cerebrovascular disease and heart disease.

4.Anthraquinone is used for helping heal ulcers, alleviate disorders of the spleen and colon, relieve constipation and help healhemorrhoids and bleeding in the upper digestive tract.

Application:

Anthraquinone is mostly used in dyes, but its use as a decatizing agent for pulp has been increasing rapidly.
(1) For the production of dyes using anthraquinone as raw material, through sulfonation, chlorination, nitration, etc., a wide range of dye intermediates can be obtained for the production of anthraquinone disperse dyes, acid dyes, VAT dyes, reaction dyes, etc., to form a complete chromatographic, good performance of dyes. According to statistics, there are more than 400 varieties of anthraquinone dyes, which occupy a very important position in the field of synthetic dyes.
(2) As a papermaking pulping digester, only a small amount of anthraquinone is added to the alkaline digester, which can speed up the delignification speed, shorten the cooking time, improve the pulp yield, and reduce the waste liquid load. At present, more and more paper mills are using anthraquinone additives. The consumption of anthraquinone as a cooking additive is increasing rapidly. Anthraquinone has other applications.It is used to make sodium anthraquinone disulfonate in fertilizer industry. Used as discharge aid in printing and dyeing industry.
(3) Used as a pulping auxiliary, can reduce the amount of alkali, shorten the cooking time.
