Application

Dicyandiamide is used as fertilizer, cellulose nitrate stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, and is also used to make guanidine salt, melamine, barbituric acid, etc. It is also the raw material of melamine and the intermediate of synthetic medicine, pesticides and dyes.

Usage

(1) As a raw material for guanidine salt and melamine diamines. Various guanidine salts can be produced by reacting dicyandiamide with acid. The reaction of dicyandiamide and phenylnitrile to phenylmelamine diamine is an intermediate in coatings, laminates and molding powders.
(2) Used as dye fixing agent, dicyandiamide resin prepared by reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde can be used as dye fixing agent.
(3) dicyandiamide fertilizer, dicyandiamide complex fertilizer can control the activities of nitrifying bacteria, so that the conversion rate of nitrogen fertilizer in the soil can be adjusted, reduce nitrogen loss, and improve the efficiency of fertilizer use.
(4) As a fine chemical intermediate. In medicine, it is used to prepare sulfonamides, etc.; It is also used to produce cellulose nitrate stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, steel surface hardener, artificial leather filler, adhesive and so on.
