Chromium(III) sulfate is an inorganic compound with the formula Cr2(SO4)3. Chromium sulfate hydrates often exist in the form of misions of [Cr(H2O)6]3+, which appear purple in appearance and turn green when heated in aqueous solution. Chromium sulfate is widely used in tanning leather and in the preparation of chromium alum.
