Oxybenzone belongs to the class of aromatic ketones known as benzophenones. It is a component of many sunscreen lotions.

Benzophenone-3 is a UV-A/B filter. It is an oil soluble powder for broad spectrum protection of approximately 1.5 SPF units/percent.
