Application

1. It is used as a raw material for sebacate plasticizer and nylon mold resin, and can also be used as a raw material for high temperature lubricating oil. Azelaic acid plasticizers are widely used in polyvinyl chloride, alkyd resins, polyester resins and polyamide molding resins, and are often used in some special-purpose resins due to their low toxicity and high temperature resistance. Nylon molding resins produced with azelaic acid have high toughness and low moisture absorption, and can be processed into many special-purpose products.

2. Azelaic acid is also a raw material for rubber softeners, surfactants, coatings and perfumes.

Usage

It is mainly used in the manufacture of cold-resistant plasticizers dibutyl sebacate, dioctyl sebacate, diisooctyl sebacate and dialkyl sebacate. It can also be used to produce nylon 1010, nylon 910, nylon 810, nylon 610, nylon 9 raw materials and to produce high-temperature lubricating oil diethylhexyl ester raw materials. It is also a raw material for the production of alkyd resins (used as surface coatings, plasticized cellulose nitrate coatings and urea resin varnishes) and polyurethane rubber. Plasticizer, softener and solvent for cellulose resin, vinyl resin and synthetic rubber.
