Di (trimethylsilyl) lithium amino (abbreviated LiHMDS) is an organosilicon compound with the formula [(CH3)3Si]2NLi. This colorless solid is a strong non-nucleophilic base that can be used in deprotonation reactions and can be used as a ligand. In the absence of solvents, the compound is dimer in solution and trimer in solid.
