This substance is a relatively stable solid form only in pentahydrate. Commercially, TMAH is usually sold as a concentrated solution of water. Its solids and solutions are colorless and yellow when impure. Pure TMAH has almost no odor, but samples often have a strong fishy smell due to the impurity. Application
Used as auxiliaries for silicone rubber, methyl silicone oil and polarographic analysis reagents. In silicone, as dimethyl silicone oil, phenyl methyl silicone oil, silicone diffusion pump oil, solvent-free silicone molding plastics, silicone rubber and other catalysts. In the aspect of analysis, as a polarographic reagent, in the product purification as a ash-free alkali to precipitate many metal elements, in the production of organic silicon wafer is often used as a brightening agent for computer silicon wafer surface, cleaning agent and touch etching agent. Tetramethyl Ammonium Hydroxid Pentahydrate as a catalyst, its advantage is that after the reaction is heated up, it can be decomposed into gas and driven away without remaining in the product.
Usage
1. Silicone rubber, methyl silicone oil additives, and polarographic analysis reagents.
