Usage
1. Electrolyte additive for lithium ion battery, which helps to improve battery cycle life and high and low temperature performance.It can also be used to synthesize polycarbonate materials.

Vinylidene carbonate is an important additive in the electrolyte of lithium battery, which can form a solid electrolyte interface film (SEI film) on the surface of the negative electrode during the initial charge and discharge of lithium battery, effectively inhibit the embedding of solvent molecules and the flatness phenomenon of lithium battery, and improve the battery life.
At present, among the additives of lithium ion battery electrolyte, vinylene carbonate (referred to as VC) is the organic film-forming additive with the most in-depth research and the best effect. It is reported that VC can occur free radical polymerization on the surface of the negative carbon electrode to generate polyalkyl carbonate compounds, which effectively inhibits the co-intercalation reaction of solvent molecules, while having no side effects on the positive electrode. Practical application shows that vinylene carbonate can significantly extend the cycle life of lithium-ion batteries, and improve the storage performance of batteries and other aspects of performance. It is an important electrolyte additive for lithium ion batteries.
